Mildred Bennet created a beautiful Colors of Cancer quilt to help support Relay for Life. Each color of the quilt represents a different type of cancer. Mildred has donated the quilt to the Butterflies of Hope of Caribou.

The group will be raffling the quilt; a date for the raffle has not yet been set.
The quilt will be shown at the different fundraisers the group will be holding throughout the summer.
The quilt will also be on display at Dr. Michaud’s suite in Caribou. Mildred would like to thank Anita Dow for making the name label, Bonnie Lavway for embroidering the meanings of the different colors in one of the center squares, Alma Fogg for doing the machine quilting, Rita Kingsbury who taught Mildred how to do paper piecing and helped with the binding and Washburn’s A Stitchin’ and a Givin’ group for donating material and giving Mildred much encouragement.
