Take Off Pounds Sensibly #2003, Houlton chapter, met at the Aldergate building on High Street for its Friday, Sept. 20 meeting. Sixteen members were weighed; 4 were KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly).
Loser of the week was Lois Downing with Denise Clark as runner-up. Charlotte Marley was the winner of the 50/50 drawing.
Diane Folsom, our leader, was in attendance. We need suggestions in the “box.” One of our older members read a “ditty,’’ taken from a another chapter years ago. Charlotte Marley reported on the “flea” contest, resulting in Lois Downing, winner for KOPS and Joanne Scott, winner for TOPS. Another contest will be started soon with Barbara Grant in charge.
Members are reminded to please bring articles for the animal shelter next week and the week after. Betty Wyman had charge of the program, entitled “Losing Weight Without Dieting.” The program was very informative and Betty is to be commended because it was her first program.
