National Honor Society
Displaying important characteristics is key

Being a member of the National Honor Society requires maturity and a lot of responsibility. The organization is symbolized by excellence in the areas of the four NHS pillars, which are character, scholarship, leadership, and service.
Members of the society should exhibit themselves as positive role models to the students around them and to others in their community. They should not only be recognized for what they have accomplished in the past, but also what they will accomplish in the future as they further develop the qualities represented by NHS. Although these are great standards for such an honorable society, NHS represents so much more than the four.
Responsibility, respect, resilience, and dedication are also important characteristics for members to have. Members must be generous by willingly donating what little free time they may have to participate in school activities and service for the benefit of their communities.
In conclusion, members must be able to balance all above characteristics and still remain as close to excellence as they possibly can.
