The Oakfield Senior Citizens met Jan. 20, 2016 at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club House in Oakfield.
Lisa Moulton from The Agency on Aging in Presque Isle brought us up to date with many suggestions about the services available through the agency. There are a lot of scams going around, especially about the IRS. If you should get a phone call from someone saying that you owe the IRS money, hang up. The IRS does not call on the phone.
The United Way does help to do taxes. The number to call for Joe for oil is 1 (800) 563-4645. Also, free smoke detectors are available through the agency. If you need more information about these or other services call the Agency on Aging in Presque Isle, 764-3396.
