PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Central Aroostook Association will expand its service delivery by including children’s case management as its ninth program for youth and adults in Aroostook County.
As part of this expansion, Carrie Anderson, Licensed Social Worker, will become the first case manager in the department.
Anderson comes to CAA as a Maine state licensed social worker, having received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She has extensive experience with coordinating services for youth up to the age of 20. Her expertise incorporates the development and maintenance of services for individuals diagnosed with physical, medical, mental health, and developmental disabilities.
“I’m passionate about the work I do for children and their families. It’s imperative to understand each family’s unique dynamic to optimize the success of their child,” said Anderson.
“My role is to provide opportunity and growth for the child but seeing success for an entire family is profoundly rewarding. I’m looking forward to applying my skills at Central Aroostook Association.”
Executive Director Steve Richard is embracing the expansion.
“Historically, our association has been proactive identifying service needs in our area and we’re always diligent with the development of a new program,” he said. “Our board of directors and administration are delighted to have Carrie join our family. She’s a determined, knowledgeable, and highly professional individual.”
Central Aroostook Association employs 150 people and supports approximately 450 individuals throughout Aroostook County. The Association will be celebrating its 60th year of operation in 2019.
