HOULTON, Maine — The Salvation Army of Houlton continues its 135th year tradition of assistance to families throughout the year and at Christmas.
If you, or someone you know lives in the Houlton Area and are in need of assistance please bring an I.D. for each member of the family (birth certificate or Medicare or MaineCare card), proof of residence and income and expenses to see if you may qualify.
Applications are available now and interviews will be done on the following dates: Oct. 16, 17, 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Oct. 26, 27 from noon to 5 p.m. Due to limited staff and resources no applications will be accepted after these dates without evidence of an emergency.
Supporters wishing to help those in need can call for an Angel Tree information packet. Volunteer bell ringers are also desired starting Nov. 16 through Dec. 23.
