And whether he comes by plane, car, or reindeer and sleigh, Santa is expected to reach the square by 1 in the afternoon December 11. On hand to greet him upon his arrival will be chairman of the town council Harold Cushman, town manager William B. Burns, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, R. H. Frost. According to Joseph W. Hatch, secretary to the Chamber, the bewhiskered old gentleman will be on the street December 18, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24. On the afternoon of the 24th, Santa will distribute gifts to the children. A full blanket of colorful Christmas lights has covered and brightened the main section of Caribou. Wreaths have also been placed around town. A Christmas tree will also be set up in the square. The final touch to the Christmas manifestations, however, will be added starting December 13 through 24.
